Pavilion dv4-1225dx with Vista wont fully boot up

I have a hp laptop that wont boot to windows, have tried the recovery discs but it dosent chamge. loads to screen that says windows did not fully install and when I hit ok it reboots to same error window. Any thoughts ?

I guess your hard drive may have gone bad. Run HP Diagnostics for Hard drive and see what it says. 

 

Kindly check the instructions over here in order to run the test for your hard drive
