Pavilion dv9727cl problems with YouCam

I have a Pavilion dv9727cl  that came bundled with Quick Launch and Cyberlink YouCam. The webcam works in Quick Launch. However when I try to load YouCam from All Programs, the YouCam icon appears (logo with guy holding up finger), then disappears, and then nothing happens. The program will not fully launch. I have tried the following:

 

1. Upgrade program from Cyberlink website: upgrade successful, no errors, program still will not load, no error messages

2. Uninstall YouCam and reinstall program from HP website: install successful, no errors, program still will not load, no error messages

 

Can someone offer a solution? Again, the webcam will work in other programs. I just can't get YouCam to fully load. I'm stumped!

Was it YouCam 2 that you reinstalled?  If not, download it here and then install it (after uninstalling your current version).
