Having some trouble collecting power data with the HP Power Assistant software. When I attempt to run the data collection, I get an error:
"Measurement tool failure. Power Data Collection failed because an optical disk is loaded."
I don't have any optical disk in the drive, and yet this error comes up. Any advice?
System is an HP EliteBook 8760w running Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 64-bit - new build - within the last two weeks.
Thanks in advance

I have just received my Elitebook 8460p, running Win7 Pro 64bit. Tried out for the first time the Power Collection and got the error as follows:
"Measurement tool failure.
Power data collection failed because the system is not calibrated."
Seems no one has responded to the original post by Mike. Hope someone can help with this. Thanks.

Hello Mike, I've been advised to uninstall the current HP Power Assistant and install the later version (2.0.6). I am running the data collection feature right this moment as I type. It has no error msg but stopped to tell me that I've got Firefox running which affected the collection process. I will try again with no process running.
I hope this helps if your situation has not been solved.
