Print Screen Not working with Locked system

why print screen and clipboard functionality is not working when our system is locked.

What exactly do you mean by locked system. Do you mean a hang or freeze?

 

If that is the case the explanation is simple...You no longer have access to the keyboard to execute the CTRL+C or CTRL+Prt Scr keystrokes.

 

If you mean when the screensaver or power management has locked the system and requires a password, the above is also true...until you provide the authenticating password.
