I have never found a way to disable them other than changing the registry values, which I don't suggest doing unless you know what you are doing.

Many thanks, Cyclops. I am wary of making registry changes but decided to give this a try and it worked a treat for me too. I just wanted to re-assign the email key as I use a web based mail.

Hey, i got a question. Im wondering the same thing about the one-touch buttons.. I have HP Elitebook 8440p and i tried to change the buttons as it was written but it doesnt work. What shall i put in instead of "http"?

That website has quicklaunch key remapper software
Though its written for laptops, try it for your desktops it might work.
