Hello,
I had vista preinstalled on my laptop, had the drive fail on me, so lost recovery partition etc. I had the recovery dvd's, but they did not seem to work correctly, saying my hardware had changed etc. I have increased the memory and obviously the new drive does not have the same partition sizes. I have since done a clean install of windows 7. Is it possible to install quickplay direct from windows 7, allowing the quickplay to boot instead of booting the full operating system?
Even more important, is it possible using any hp tools to recreate the recovery partition?
Be as technical as you like, I am familiar with partitions and operating systems!
thanks

Any tips? I tried the recovery cds, got an error 0x04001100200001005 which is of no help ![]()
It did seem to create the hp recovery partition D. Picking f11 on boot after though does not start any recovery process still though.
