Hi, I recently purchased a used laptop running Vista SP2 Home Premium 64 bit, and i wanted to reinstall the OS to freshen it up and delete any junk that was left over from the previous owner. Would i be better off doing a dban and then a fresh install, or just using HP's recovery software to reset it to original state? Its a dv1235dx. If i was to dban it, is there a way i can make myself a bootable disk to reinstall the OS on a clean hard drive? because all the laptop comes with are recovery disks, not the actual OS disk to do a fresh install. Thanks, may the ninja be with you
