Sata Anci Controller driver for HP Pavilion dv6-1230us.

I need Intel Sata Anci Controller driver (I want to install windows 7) for HP Pavilion dv6-1230us.

Are you having issues installing Windows 7 on your PC?

I have not encountered an issue when installing Windows 7. It normally has all the common SATA ACHI drivers needed to just boot and install.

Looking at the specs on your PC, Windows 7 should just boot and install.

If you were installing XP, you would need the SATA ACHI driver.

At the beginning of installing Windows 7 (before creating partitions) asked me for SATA AHCI driver.

I use Windows 7 ultimate, and this happened to me only on this laptop.

Hi:

If you can still access Windows please go to your device manager. Then click on the little pointer next to the IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers and post the name of your SATA ACHI controller.

I think according to the manual, it should be the ICH 9M.

Here is the link to the drivers: You'll need to select either the 32 or 64 bit version as applicable.

Copy them to a USB flash drive as you see them. Do not put them in a folder. Plug that into a USB port. Boot up the PC and Hit the F6 key to load the sata driver or if the install asks you for it you need to use your Up/Dn arrow keys on your keyboard and select the Intel(R) ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller.

Please note that it may not be initially visible in the list of drivers shown on your screen which is why you need to use the arrow keys to find it. Once you do, just select it and hit enter and hopefully your install will continue.
