If you are seeing this message when clicking on a link in Office, it's probably because you recently uninstalled google Chrome (or Firefox).
One way to fix this is to modify the registry keys that associated with opening links:
Start, click Run, type Regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
Browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\.html
Right click the value for the .html key and select Modify...
Change the value from "ChromeHTML" to "htmlfile" (or from FireFoxHTML to htmlfile)
Repeat these steps for .htm, .shtml, .xht and .xhtml keys if they exist.

CharlesHP. I have the exact problem you mention, and I attempted your suggested fix and it did not work for me. Any other suggestions?

CharlesHP. Sorry about that. Your instructions did work afterall. Totally forgot to restart my computer before trying. Thank you so very much for the fix.
