Touch pad scrolling not working in windows 7

My laptop is hp pavillion dv4-1428 and I moved from Vista to Windows 7 last week but the audio and the scrolling on the touchpad aren't working. Any solutions would be much appreciated.  Thank you

download this & install it

after restarting your PC check if it works...

otherwise Uninstall Synaptics Touchpad Driver

The first one doesn't work.

I removed Synaptics and tried the second one but it can't be installed.. install failed.

goto control panel>>open systems>>open Advanced system settings>>goto Hardware TAB>>open Device Installation settings>>select

Yes, do this automatically (Recommended)

also try windows 7's (Windows update) search for optional for missing drivers...

Go to Control Panel -> Devices Manager

Click with right button of Your mouse on each yellow sign and choose properties. Then go to bottom details and paste here Hardware Ids. This way we will know what it is.
