Hi, I thought I owned a HP Pavilion dv7-1285dx.
I have been dealing with hardware resources being misallocated for close to two years, and many, many reinstalls.
The focus now is the card reader, and it's host, currently unknown, and Microsoft Vista 64's inability to work around this issue.
I used to blame Microsoft. I realize now that I'm not playing in Microsofts sandbox.
Now I blame HP and thier programmers inability to live up to the Vista Logo standard. Yes, I read the install files.
I'm now to the point where I'm ready to seek legal action.
I want the hardware and I want your controls off. It's not like the hardware was actually manufactured by you, is it?
I have been buying HP products almost exclusively for over twentyfive years.
This laptop is my last.

This is a user to user forum, just so you know.
What exactly is the problem, I don't quite understand, a driver installation problem, or a driver you need that HP does not supply?
