Urgency of fixing problem with 1033.mst for MediaSmart Webcam Software

I cannot install the new HP MediaSmart Webcam Software on my newly-upgraded HP Pavilion dv3-1075us Entertainment Notebook PC (64-bit).

I have had this problem since I upgraded from Windows Vista to Windows 7 using the upgrade disc.

Error applying transforms.  Verify that the transform path is valid.

c:\hp\tmp\src\1033.mst

I noticed that several others have the same exact problem, no matter which model they were using.  I tried reinstalling the Windows Vista version sp42850, but that install failed in the same way as the Windows 7 version sp46571.  Hewlett Packard needs to get to the bottom of this, and soon.

Also, when I upgraded, it froze the first time while transferring files.  It succeeded the second time, but I think that first failure may be connected to the problem.

If an HP Tech Support or CSE staff member can provide assistance to everyone who shares this webcam problem, we would greatly appreciate it.
