Stats:
Computer Type: HP-Pavilion a6333w
Product #: KC746AA#ABA
Operating System: Windows Vista™ Home Premium (6.0, Build 6000) (6000.vista_ldr.071023-1545)
Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4800+ (2 CPUs), ~2.5GHz
HD space: 500 Gb
Ram:3 gigs
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 <---Integrated on Mother board.
---------------------------
Situation: Upon trying to update Windows Vista to SP1 my computer hung up. After a cold reboot I recieved a BSoD (blue screen of death) with the error code 0x0000C1F5.
Current problem: Every time I try to start Vista I get the same error code during the vista loading splash screen.
I've tried safe mode, the last correct log on thing, and even a system restore disk I downloaded from PC World.
None of these solutions online have worked.
---------------------------
Is there a way to Bypass the default load process and access the recovery partition drive to do a factory reset?
If there is a way to save the info on my HD please let me know.
Thanks, Jcubed.

I think the code (BugCheck Code) is 0x0000C1F5, and there is a Microsoft Hotfix for this:

I am an HP employee.

I removed the bios battery for a bit and now I'm getting a "Windows Boot Manager" page that pops up stating....
---------------------------------
Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:
1. Insert your Windows installation disc and restart your computer.
2. Choose your language settings, and then click "Next."
3. Click "Repair your computer."
If you do not have this disk, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance.
File: \windows\system32\winload.exe
Status: 0xc000000e
Info: The selected entry could not be loaded because the application is missing or corrupt.
----------------------------------
Esc and F10 respond but F11 does nothing. (???) I get brought to the winload error page.
When booting without the Downloaded boot disk I get the above winload error by default now.
When booting with the downloaded recovery disk I get the blue screen of death error.

I was hoping to save some of the software on my HD. Oh well, thanks for the help.
