When I upgraded from Vista to Windows 7(32-bit) on my dv6775us, I lost HP Support Adviser.

I found a re-installation file for the HP Support Adviser on the HP web site and successfully downloaded it. However, when I try to open and install it I get a message that the software is already on my hard drive and then nothing else happens. I have checked in "Programs and Features" and the Adviser software is not listed. None of the "HP Total Care" files exist there. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi
First go to Control panel -> Program & Features -> Uninstall the Programs then restart the unit. Then you could install the File from the Web link given below.
Let us know how it goes!

This took several attempts; but I finally got the Adviser installed and running. Thanks for the perfect advice!
