Windows Live Mesh connectivity

I have an HP G72-b27CL Notebook running on Windows 7 64-bit and I’m trying to help my aunt in another country to remotely solve some problems in her computer. Both computers have Windows Live Mesh installed and she already gave me her computer name and password. How can we get connected? Please help. Thank you.

Refer the following link and the video given below that might help you using Windows Mesh:

Re: Windows Live Mesh connectivity

Just want to add the following piece of information that I found on youtube and it is essential to make it work:

Great walkthru, but one question if you will. I, like you, will need to connect to my father-in-law's computer once in a while to fix things. Exactly how do I 'connect to another computer' half way around the world? Do we both have to be logged into the same 'Windows Live' account?

I don't have two computers with me right now to test with.

Thanks very much.

To log on to another computer it has to have Live Mesh installed and running under YOUR account. Simply have your father in law log in with your information or, if you are security conscious, create a different live mesh account and have him log in with that.

Re: Windows Live Mesh connectivity

I have not tried it practically. But as I read theoritically on websites, I think you need to use the same Windows live account to login into both the system to connect through Windows Live Mesh.
