Windows installation on Hp dv4 2124tx (Problems)

Hi guyz !

I,ve HP pavilion dv4 2124tx since last 2 years ! It was working well but few days back it started giving problems(I tried Recovery manager to recover to its factory condition but it didn,t worked ) Then i reinstalled Windows 7 (NOT GENIUNE),,

And i realized that i can,t activate windows now
Sadly and badly i didn,t Created any Recovey Disk or any backups

Now i can,t Activate Windows.And recovery partition is also removed. My question is that is there any way to Activate my Windows 7..  I can not afford buying geniune windows 7 CD... If problem is no resolved i will have to sell my laptop which i really don,t want to sell
I installed Windows 7 Ultimate N and istalled all updates instead of SP 1 update  !

Hi,

Let me know the following.

1.  What was the full version of the operating system that originally came with your notebook - ie Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit?

2.  Can you still read the full activation key on the COA sticker underneath your notebook - this should be in the form of 5 blocks of 5 alpha/numeric entries?  Don't post these, just let me know if you can still see them clearly.

It had Windows 7 home premium 32bit !

Secondly COA sticker is rubbed off so i cant read Numbers

I didn,t had knowledge about these thing so i didn,t cared about any thing

Hi,

The only option you have if the COA sticker is illegible is to order a replacement set of HP Recovery Discs using the link below - these will activate automatically.  The cost does vary depending on where you live, but should certainly be cheaper than a retail installation disc.
