Windows7 RC1 - WWAN HP Connect not recognising hardware - 8530w

Hi

I'm running Windows 7 RC1 64bit on EliteBook 8530w.  Everything seems to be great, except for trying to get WWAN (3G mobile connetion) to work.  Towards the end of the install when HP connect starts, it reports an error -" Invalid Hardware State - A compatible device could not be found while creating default profiles.  The application will exit now."

Has anyone sen this before?  I can't seem to find any drivers for this.

TIA

Michael

Re: Windows7 RC1 - WWAN HP Connect not recognising hardware - 8530w

You can't find drivers because you are using a Release candidate OS. The 64-bit versions of Windows have always been especially difficult to find drivers for. You might want to consider changing your Win7 RC OS to the 32-bit version. You should find less compatibility issues there.

Can you just share the solution rather than re-routing for an alternative?
