Please dont waste our time on problems you dont know.
This **bleep** belongs to some hp service but itself is not a service.
So under win7, in taskmgr you cant jump from asghost.exe to any service. So which service we should disable ?

Thanks to 2rBear,but my fingerprint funciton dont funciton at all under win7x64 without hp ProtectTools Security Manager+Credential Manager.
And I just found this problem may be related with the network firewall, but if it has happened, then even you turn off the firewall the problem remains. I dont know if restart system can resolve it , but it can be fixed by restarting all hp related servcies in services.msc.
In my services list it includes:
AuthenTec Fingerprint Service
HP ProtectTools Service
HP Quick Synchronization Service
HP Service
HP Software Framework Service

Yes, the reason I googled asghost.exe was because when I was loggin out yesterday, it said a programme had not closed down. It was asghost.exe and I wondered what it was for.
