When you used the F6 floppy method and copied all of the drivers onto the floppy, did you use the Up/Down arrow keys to scroll up or down to find the drivers?

Most of the time the ones you need are not in view, and you need to scroll to select the right one.

Slipstreaming the SATA driver into XP is also a time saving solution for future.

For sure someday you will be happy that you used this option.

Yes i've scrolled and tried correct drivers, but the only way it works was slipstreaming all the drivers

Hi:

I have attached the x86 drivers you need below.

The link to the latest F6 floppy drivers is indeed dead, and I cannot find a new one.

I edited the dead link above and posted the links to the AHCI drivers that will work with the notebooks with the series 5 chipsets.

The driver for the Intel 6 series chipsets is not included in the download file, but it is included in the attached one below.

Hi,

I'm currently experiencing the same problem on our HP 630s.

I've followed all the instructions about slip streaming etc, the problem i have however is, when it prompts me to press F6 to load the drivers, nothing happens!

All it does it move on like nothing was pressed, at first i thought it might of been a faulty key but all 6 laptops have the same issue, it refuses to accept F6 when i press it.

Any ideas?

The only way i could solve the problem was streaming the drivers on a XP setup disk with nlite
