changes to my laptop...Unhappy

My hp dv7 recently crashed on me.  I had a friend of mine; who is a computer geek, help me out.  Well now, my computer just is not the same.  My fingerprint scan does not work at all now,  my beats audio is not there anymore,  and I'm sure there are other things that is not doing what it is suppose to do that I haven't come across yet.  My question is..Is there a way to get my computer back to the way it was when I first got it.

Very uphappy person

When I type in Recovery to select recovery manager,  that option is not available.  It has the option for "system restore".   The recovery manager screen does not come up at all.

I'm not sure what my friend put in here.  It possibly could be a copy.  But I'm unsure.
