changing wallpaper on hp mini 110-3135DX

I've read all suggestions to change wallpaper,yet none of the words as appearance and themes or personalize are listed in the menu boxes on my hp mini 110-3135DX. I just went to a web site and clicked on their wallpaper and I got a menu box that said set as background. I clicked on it and the downloading box came up on my sceen, it said downloading 1 picture. I then minimize my browzer to see the new wallpaper, but alas, no changes was made to my hp background.
