dv1610us vista modem driver [ Edited ]

I understand that even though it has a vista capable sticker and hp has some vista drivers and hp used a graphics chipset that will never support aero, vista runs pretty well.

No chipset driver, no card reader driver and no modem driver for vista.

Hp Claims it is :

Conexant AC97 Soft Data/Fax Modem with SmartCP Driver

It is actually showing VEN:8086 DEV: 266D Rev3

I have tried like every driver I could find. One found it but refused to install.

Searching HP claims SP35735 is vista 32 driver for

Conexant AC97 Soft Data/Fax Modem with SmartCP Driver

But again does not work.

Does anyone know what the Vista Modem driver is for this laptop?

This forum is as bad as all hp support. Forced me to create a new alias for same email/login? What every where we login needs a new alias?

On the drver....

People buy from OEMS so they do not have these issues!

Even though (esp. on desktops) HP and other just buy and use crap ECS, MSI parts with their logo on it.!

Jez I wasn't even looking for 64bit! Why 64? HP does not even have divers for 32, who would add the extra headaches of 64 on a 2gig laptop?
