Hello,
I have an HP notebook which is only 11 months old.
After trying to update HP Support Assistant...the install failed and ever since then I get the following problems
1) I get a mom.exe error on startup
"The application was not able to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close application."
This seems to have the effect that I am not longer able to connect to an external monitor using HDMA (which means I can't stream movies from netflix, etc from my PC to TV)
2) I get a HPWA_Main.exe error on startup
Same error code as the first one
I haven't been able to determine the effect yet, but...
3) The failed install of HP Support Assistant seems to have deleted it from my computer, and when I try and install a new copy it is not allowing me to do so.
Ssame error code as the first one
Without being any kind of expert, I guess that the "0xc000007b" is something system wide.
Can anyone give me some advice on how to fix this. I have had my machine for almost a year...I don't keep very much on it actually (I have a 4TB NAS for that), but I have done just enough adding of programmes and such that it would be a pain to have to give up a day to recover to factory condition and start from scratch.
Specs are below.
Thanks so much for any advice or help you can give. ![]()

HP Pavillion dv6-6062eo Notebook
