forgot administrator password

Hi

I have hp pavilion dv4 laptop

I forgot my administrator password.

It's got fingerprint security system also.

I can open my account with the help of finger security system but how can I change my password??

plss help asap.....

Procedure 1:
1.Log on to the administrator account that you will use to reset the forgotten password.
2.Open Local Users and Groups by clicking the Start button , typing lusrmgr.msc into the Search box, and then pressing ENTER.‌
3.Double-click Local Users and Groups, and then click Users.
4.Right-click the account that you need to reset the password for, and then click Set Password.
5.Type and confirm the new password.

Procedure 2:
Create password reset disk:
1.Open User Accounts by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking User Accounts and Family Safety, and then clicking User Accounts.
2.In the left pane, click Create a password reset disk, and then follow the instructions. Make sure you store the password reset disk in a safe place.
Reset password using reset disk:
You will not be able to follow these steps if you have locked your computer.
1.If you have typed the wrong password, you'll receive a message that says your user name or password is incorrect. When this message appears, click OK.
2.Click Reset password, and then follow the instructions.

yea i forgot the administrator password for my computer too and all i can do is use the guest account how can i fix this?

HP mini 210 3000 beatsaudio I seem to have deleted the administrator account by renaming it.  It now thinks my account is a user, not administrator.  Everything has ground to a halt.  How do I reset an administrator.  Does the fact that I installed McAfee parental controls have anything to do with it.

I have a Pavillion dv6.
I tried following procedure one above,  and when I open lusrmgr.msc and click on 'Local users and groups (local)'
The following error message appears:
"This computer is running Windows 7 Home Premium. This Snapin may not be used with this version of windows. to manage user accounts for this computer, use the User Accounts tool in the Control Panel."
Furthermore, I cannot create a password reset disk unless I know what my password currently is.
Is there any way I can reset my password without reseting my whole computer?

Reset Windows 7/Vista/xp password with CMD. Key steps:

Step 1: Logon your Windows as administrator(You also can logon Safe Mode with Command Prompt, pressing F8 when restart your computer, hit up/down key to choose Safe Mode with Command Prompt and hit Enter).

Step 2: Click on Start, type cmd in the Run box or Search box and press Enter.

Step 3: Type net user, all user accounts of your computer will be listed.

Step 4: Type net user “UserName” “NewPassword”(replace UerName and NewPassword with yours), press Enter, then the password will be reset as new one and you can logon Windows 7/Vista with it. You also can use a program base on CMD.

I forgot the password to my HP Touchsmart310 PC and i need to do my billing by tomorrow! I need help! i cant reset the password because the account i can not access is the administrator account and i never got to making a password reset disk! Please Help Me!!!

I am locked out of my computer. I haved tried all three of the passwords that I use. I have a Pavilion 20 all-in-one PC I changed my password to get into the HP games last night. I even tried using that one, thinking maybe that change registered as a change in my computer access password. How can I unlock my computer???
