Try going to the start search and either typing web cam or just going to the quick play option in windows vista. and if this isn't vista then I have no idea

what is the model and OS on your laptop

its possible you have cybercam

it is one of the webcam that HP laptop uses

you will find in the start menu

and you will find some that says

  cyber_____

if you are chatting

was is the IM you are using

or what site you are chatting
