how to recovery my Windows Vista?

hello HP support,
i just need help to recovery my windows vista. it is Compaq Presario V3760TU Notebook PC. the original drive PRESARIO_RP on drive D: is still exist. i have tried to hit F11 while the first i turn on the notebook PC but it was not working. so how can i recovery with the other way? would you mind to help me out from this problem?

Try this.
Hold down the ESC key while it boots up.
This will bring you to a screen with 5 different options. Choose F11 and hit enter.
Follow the on-screen prompts.

Use Disk Management to view your hdd partitions, select the Presario_RP and 'Mark as Active".On reboot the laptop should boot into Recovery. 'Do Not' tap any keys.
This is on XP's Disk Management, but the principle is the same in Vista:

Hi Pete,
i have tried your clue about hold esc for 5 second it was directly go to option menu that recovery menu didn't exist nor F11 command, it's not working.

Hi CherylG,
About activated the partition PRESARIO_RP on drive D and i tried to restart notebook without hit any key, the result is "Missing operationg system"
