hp window 7 startup

My laptop has problem restarting. The problem arose after it wanted to restart after installing an anti-virus, I have tried every effort but all to no avail. What can I do.

Re: hp window 7 startup

With the notebook off, power up and start tapping F8 fast until you get the advanced boot options screen, then highlight "repair your computer" and hit enter key, Windows Recovery Environment will load, if at any point it tries to do an automatic repair let it, it may take some time and appear to be doing nothing be patient and let it finish, and restart, see if it will boot now.

If automatic repair does not run, continue to let WinRE load, choose "repair your computer" again, when the tools list loads select "System Restore" when it loads pick the first restore date, it should be labeled with the name of your AV, then let it restore, it may take some time to complete, be patient.

Step 1

.

Step 2,

If automatic repair runs, stop here and let it finish and reboot, if automatic repair does not run continue, if asked for a password leave it blank and hit enter.

.

Step 3  Choose System Restore, when it loads choose your latest (newest) restore point.

**Do Not choose HP Recovery Manager (not shown in this picture and will be at the bottom of the list.
