i got a model pavilion dv2701tx i was a user of window vista but my system was so slow that after using for 1and 1/2 yr i tried to downgrade to xp but i could not get the driver files for xp then i upgraded it with window 7 , and there the problem started as now very often my laptop get shut down after showing "starting window " sign and if i will start it manually it will show massage "resuming window 'n and many times it shuts down again , what may be the problem if any one can give any idea

For XP downgrading issue, please read the sticky post. All drivers for your model are available in that guide.
You have an overheat issue, download HW monitor and post your temps.
In some "old" models, it is reported that win7 running with minimum speed of fan but uptil now only occurred to amd platform.
Running all updates that available for win7 may solve this issue.
