microsoft word starter 2010 will not run, open

No changes made to computer

HP "factory" installed software, Microsoft Windows Starter 2010 will NOT startup, open. After clicking Microsoft Word Starter 2010 icon, the computing "logo" appears on desktop with routine "processing" message. Soon thereafter various error messages begin such as repair (via control panel, Programs) & "Internet Connection Lost". Microsoft Word Starter 2010 has been utilized successfully since I purchased PC, approximately seven (7) months ago.

Attempted repair via Control Panel as per instructions multiple times. Not successful.

In reality Internet Connection(s) were consistantly activated and working properly.

Any ideas how to run, open Microsoft Word Starter 2010 and, or download the software from HP. Though I think that Microsoft prohibits "Microsoft Word Starter 2010" software downloads from 2nd parties. Absloutely NO viruses detected.ALL other items working properly.

Try scrolling down at start up all programmes.Pass m office 2010 look for Mic office starter.This works withuot buying into m/office.

Thanks for your concern. Yes, I tried your method before, didn't work. Tried again, no luck.

There supposedly is a fool proof method to fix this particular problem which I found on the Internet. It worked for ALL (many) who tried it. When I attempt it and if it is successful I will certainly post it on this board to assist all with similar problem.

I am having the exact same problem on a non HP laptop with Windows 7 64 bit that is less than a month old. Word starter was working just fine until today. I also tried doing a repair, it said it was successful, but it still won't open. I get the same messages you get and my internet connection is fine. I'm beginning to think it has something to do with a recent update.

i am having the exact same issues and have been for the last coupe of days rather frustrating any feedback on fixing the issue would be great
