Re: my computer dose not play blu ray

This could be a problem with the drive itself or with the drivers. Please let me know the product number(on a white sticker at the bottom of the computer). Also you can try going to the following link and updating the driver:

I understand Sir!!! the Blu rays are sometimes Regionalised!!! For example if i buy BLU rays in the US i can use them only in the US. So the drive can also have issues with the Blurays playing if it is bought in a different country. Also you can try to Check with other blu ray discs if they work!!!! This also could happen if the aero feature is disabled on Windows 7. Kindly try to enable it by following these steps:-

Right Click on the desktop

You will get an option personalize

go to aero themes and enable one of them

Incase this does not work

Please email me on  [Personal Information Removed] with the software that you are trying to use to view the blue rays and also if you are getting any error messages.

Re: my computer dose not play blu ray

I wrote an Email out but yahoo would not let me send to you adress for some bizzar reason so i posted on here .

I was trying to run Blu Ray on HP Media Smart DVD , in a forum it said load the most up to date version and then install latest updates .... there is none. Do you know of any software i can use to play them or links to use ? as my computer dose not recognize blu ray at all . it just runns a cycle on the dvd and dose nothing , if i press play it opens the draw and says insert disc.  there is no error messages either.

                                                                                                           Thank you for you time.
