Hello! need help. i want to downgrade win vista to xp but im unable to format win vista on my laptop hp pivilion dv5-1209ax. everytime i insert xp cd in the rom for instaling, it takes awhile to read the os but then it comz up a blue screen error, any help wud b appreciative, cheer!

normaly new laptop coming with vista there is an option on the cmos to select. check the hard drive type or anything about the hard drive on the bios menu. after doing this you might loose your data on hard drive.
