need help - hp go-235dx notebook pc thumb drive recovery of corrupt bios (dead machine)

the bios of my hp go-235dx notebook pc got corrupted after an update. i have tried to recover it using bios boot block... by means of a thumb drive... i need help wth getting the correct bios id.... 360BF31.fd is the bios image name ..... i have rename it according to all the options provided in the platform.ini file .. which r as ffs

To get a quick help, you need to provide a correct product number of your notebook.

 

go-235dx is not the correct one.

the model number of my machine is

 

model: #G60-235DX

 

s/n: 2CE913618T

 

p/n: NB042UA#ABA

 

Really need help on thumb drive recovery......

Sorry for late replay, hopefully you have found the correct answer.

 

I found two platform name for your model G60,that are 3612 and 3617.

Since you have G60 with 200 series my best guess is 3617.

 

Try to rename your BIOS to 3617.bin and do BIOS recovery procedure.

Better use smaller size of thumb drive with FAT16.
