pavillion software backup discs won't load

A virus wiped out my machine.  It's been cleaned, but i'm now trying to reload the original software with the original backup discs.  I get a message that says I need to call HP support.  They want to charge me 100$ to extend my warranty.  Anyone know why my software won't load? thanks.
