"Product Information Not Vaild"

I turn on my HP Pavillion G62 last week, and I get this black screen with the following information on it:

Product Information Not Valid

The Following product information programmed into the system board is missing or invalid.

System Board (00A) -   Product Name

                                          Product Configuration

                                          Product Serial Number

                                          Product Number

ENTER - Continue Startup

For more information, please visit: www.hp.com/go/techcenter/startup.

Can someone please help me with this. I can get access to my CPU through Safe Mode with Networking, hence how I am writing this. The computer is only just over a year old, so I hope it's an easy fix. Thanks

Re: "Product Information Not Vaild"

Hi

As i see on your notes it clearly says that the Motherboard on the unit has failed and you need to replace it only then the unit will back to it working condition.

If your notebook is still under warranty, contact HP and arrange to have the part replaced.

If you are out of warranty and would like a guide on replacing the part yourself, please let me know.

Let us know how it goes!

Hi,

Above information which was given to you is completely wrong.

Everything is fine with your motherboard and you do not need to replace it.

Please contact with HP. They need to restore all this informations with special tool and that's all.
