Hi Alan,

Hold down the Windows key and press R.  Into the Run Box type msconfig and hit enter.  In the System Configuration window, click the Startup tab and if you see an entry relating to the 'Weather Channel', click the box next to it to remove the tick, then click Apply and Ok.

Retstart the notebook to apply this change.

When windows reloads, hopefully the application will no longer start, but to get rid of it entirely, download and install the free version of Revo Uninstaller from the link below.

http://www.revouninstaller.com/download-freeware-version.php

Run revo and see if it detects the Weather Channel as an installed program. If it does, right click on the icon of this program and select Uninstall. During the process you may be asked to delete registry entries, just select all and then click delete. Do the same for any left-over files and folders. Once the uninstall has completed, restart the notebook once again.

Regards,
