system recovery DVD failed.

[ Edited ]

I Formatted my dv2115ea with system recovery dvd. Once it was complete it started to install software. During this process an error message popped up during a restart which provides that "a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent from your computerIt also asked that i terminate my harddrive and any other software installed.

Says NTLGR is missing

What do i do next.

Re: system recovery DVD failed.

I believe that you meant NTLDR is missing. That means that the Vista Bootloader has been damaged. Go to thiswebsite and download the Vista Recovery Disk. Follow the instructions at the NeoSmart website and your Vista should come back to life. NeoSmart is also the author of EasyBCD.
