Have HP TouchSmart tm2 with Windows 7 64bit. Touch pad and keyboard stop working every now n then but touch screen n keyboard on screen still work. Sometimes they come back on without doing a thing n other times i have to re-boot. I know it must be the driver but why is the touchscreen still working? I have not changed anything when this started.

Well, After reading some additional request from others, this is an ongoing issue for HP and they do not want to help fix these issues. I left DELL because of their issues and now HP will not help with their own fixes. HELLO how about some help?

Might be a loose cable. You could try opening your TM2 up and re-seating the touchpad and keyboard cables (Be careful in releasing the ZIF retention mechanism first, flex cable connections are rather delicate). If the contacts are dirty, you can try cleaning the cable ends by rubbing gently with a pencil eraser.
