Hi all wonder if you can help here my laptop has started to loose paths to desktop shortcuts and has sterted to run really slow so i decided to restore back to factory settings so pressed f11 and it booted straight into vista?
so i decided to use the cd creator and make a restore cd all went well until it said collecting files then just sat there for 4 hours and did nothing?
so decided to use the restore option in recovery manager and got amessage saying cant find restore partition ?
so went to my d drive to have a look clicked on it and got a message saying drive needs to be formatted before use?
so i am totally stuck on how to restore my sysyem now so if anyone has any ideas any help would be gratefull
i have scanned for virus's and spyware and got nothing found many thanks in advance

in your case the recovery partition has corrupted so u will not be able to do a recovery from the inbuilt partition so u have only one option to call up HP tech support and let them know that u have made an attempt to create the recovery cds and it failed and if ur inwarranty they would ship it out for free and if ur laptop is OOW then u would need to pay 18$....
