Accepted Solution

unable to turn of the touchpad on pavilion dm3 after reinstallation of operating system.

I have a Pavilion dm3 1060eo with windows 7 64-bit. I reinstalled the operating system after some malware and now I can't turn of the touch pad. I've downloaded the latest mouse drives, but it didn't work.

I also wonder where the background went, the one that was installed when I got the computer from HP. The background is shown on the model on HP's page. Want it back!

Have you tried reinstalling the Alps pointing device Windows 7 64-bit driver package?

Thanks, it worked by downloading that file :smileyhappy:

You don't happen to know how to get back the background which came along with the computer when it was new? It's shown at the desktop as well as when you turn on and off the computer.

Best regards

If you do a recovery the background will return. Otherwise I really don't remember offhand how to get it. Find yourself a nice HP background online. Do a Google or Bing or Live search.
