My usb ports are not working. Ive checked everything and it all says they should be working properly?

If you find that your USB ports do not work then follow these steps

1. Shut down the notebook

2. press and hold f8 while you power up, keep holding F8 down until you get the
Windows Advanced Screen or it starts beeping, then let up.

3. Use the up/down arrow keys to Highlight "disable signature enforcement" from the Advanced Screen list and hit enter key.

 

Do the ports work now?

How many different usb devices have you tried?

 

Nothing works in any of the usb oprts?

Open Device Manager, expand "Universal Serial Bus Controllers"

 

right click on all the entries beneath and select "uninstall"

 

leave DM open after you have uninstalled all of them, now right click on any other device in the list and select "Scan for hardware changes" it should reinstall the hardware and drivers, when that is done, restart the PC.
