Hi,
I've already purchased windows 7 ultimate discs for another pc .
Can I use my installation disc & activate it with my hp OEM license ( win 7 home premium) ?
Thank you ,
I wish everyone good, a very (very) good Luck.

Hi:
Unfortunately you cannot. The keys for the various versions of W7 (Home, Pro, Ultimate), will only activate successfully with a product key from the same version that is installed.
So, you need a W7 Ultimate key to activate a W7 Ultimate installation.

& activate it with my OEM product key ?

Hi:
I may have just the thing for you...
I don't know if your product key will work if your version of W7 Home Premium wasn't in English, French or Spanish though...
Try this workaround:
If you can read the 25 character Microsoft windows 7 product key, you can download plain Windows 7 ISO files to burn to DVD's for the version of windows that came installed on your PC, and that is listed on the Microsoft COA sticker on your PC's case.
Burn the ISO using the Burn ISO option on your DVD burning program and burn at the slowest possible speed your program will allow. This will create a bootable DVD.
Use the 25 character product key on the PC to activate the installation.
The key will activate either a 32 or 64 ibt installation.
Then go to the PC's support and driver page to install the drivers you need.
Link to the W7 ISO file downloads is below.

You might have a Recovery partition on the hard drive, use F11 to boot into recovery and restore the PC to the original OS.

Hi:
You can use your OEM key to activate either the 32 bit or 64 bit version of Windows 7 Home Premium as I posted above.
