vista productkey can only read last nine digits

Hi, I have a HP-dv6500 which originaly came with Vista Home Premium and well I was having some problems so I downgraded to XP but now I would like to go back to vista though I noticed the label is somewhat faded. I can only read the last 9 digits of the label and I no longer have a backup disk... Is there someway to get the rest of the digits without having to purchase a new key, Thanks

You can order Recovery Disks for less than $20 from HP, no license key required with them. Select your region here and choose phone option>> Contact HP

 

Or, Windows 7 can be purchased very reasonably at Tigerdirect:
