Hi i have a hp laptop that i have had for about a year and six months. the os on it finally just cut out and wont boot up for me and i wanted to know i have the product key for vista would hp send me a cd if i give them some info to verify that i have a valid product key ? thank you so much for your time and help i have email microsoft three time is the past month i need my laptop for work and school if i can't get this fixed i really cant afford 300.00 on windows.

Colewilson,

 

You can contact HP to see if you can obtain a Vista CD for recovery purposes. If you are unable to do so however, you may want to still consider Windows 7.
