Hi,
First You need to slipstream Your Sata drivers (ICH7M) with nLite.
Here is guide how to do it and here are Sata drivers for You and here are Your Sata drivers. Just unrar this drivers with winrar.
Be sure also that You are using WinXP SP2 version. If you haven't go SP2 version here you can download this service pack
and here You have got guide how to slipstream this file with Your system again by nLite.
In this program You can even burn Your new XP cd with this driver.
Drivers for Your model:
Chipset here (First install this and reboot)
Intel Matrix Storage Manager here
Graphic Nvidia 7400 here
Wireless Intel 3945 ABG here
MS-UAA (required with a reboot before Conexant Audio) here
Conexant SmartAudio 221 here
How to install:
Unzip to a folder.run installer.
if it errors use Device Manager.
From Device Manager, right click "Audio Device on HD",choose Update driver,
No to connect, Install from a list or specific location,
Select Don't Search, I will choose the driver to install,
For the Hardware Type select 'Show All Devices'
Remove the check from "Show Compatible Hardware" and click on "Have Disk".
Next...browse to the unzipped folder and choose the "WiSVHe5.inf".
Ignore XP when it complains.
Reboot.
Conexant HDAUDIO Soft Data Fax Modem with SmartCP Driver here

Your model is one of the easy ones to downgrade. You should have the option in BIOS to diable Native SATA which will allow XP to see the hdd.Or you can slipstream the SATA driver as detailed above and leave BIOS as is.
Your model uses XP drivers from DV6000T HERE
Install Intel Chipset utility first and reboot before other drivers. For audio,MS UAA with another reboot before Conexant.Others can be installed in any order.Good luck with the downgrade!

Hi to everyone!!
Yesterday evening i have tried to downgrade my dv6215ea.
All right except for audio, ethernet and wifi driver u have linked in the first answe;i've installed the dv6000t drivers and all now is ok!!Thanks a lot!
I have only one problem with the webcam that have been installed during xp installation and named "USB video peripheral" or in italian "Periferica video USB".
When i try to check it for example using image acquisition it tells me that can't reprodice the image and to check if ti is used bay another program or user.
I have tried also to donwload and install all 3 webcam drivers type but unsuccesfully.
In the dv6215ea product specification there is a voice about the cam and it's named "HP Pavilion webcam with stereo integrated microphones "... i think the correct driver is this one HP Pavilion Webcam Driver
Can somene help me ?
Thanks

Hi to everyone!
Thanks a lot for the quick answer!i'll try as soon as possible! ![]()
However i can see under the device manager a USB video peripheral and looking on the pc i can see "1.3 MP" on the webcam (on the top of the notebook monitor) but it doesn't turn on when i try to use xp image acquisition for example and also after installing these 3 types of driver from the dv6000t xp driver section:
HP 1.3 MegaPixel (MP) Webcam Software Drivers
HP VGA Webcam Software Drivers
I have never installed any software perhhaps this is the reason!
I'll try!
Thanks! ![]()
