Hi,
First make Vista backup. How to do it all informations here
Update Your Bios to the latest version here.
Be sure that You are using WinXP SP2 version. If you haven't got SP2 version here you can download this service pack
and here You have got guide how to slipstream this file with Your system again by nLite.
In this program You can even burn Your new XP cd with this driver.

Hi!
I had the same problem after I unistalled Windows Vista and then installed Windows XP for my friend. In the Device Manager
section, I got the following devices that had the yellow exclamation mark beside them:
cnf7047
coprocessor
ethernet controller (one just said ethernet controller, the second one said Atheros Communications Inc. AR5006)
pci device
sm bus controller
unknown device
video controller
I have already downloaded the following drivers, but have NO idea how to install them properly. If you can help me
install them, and more importantly, if you can match the drivers to the list above, that would help greatly!
Nvidia Chipset (driver installed: nForce)
Nvidia GeForce 8200 G (my friend's laptop has the GeForce 8200 M. Does that make a difference?)
MS-UAA driver
Conexant SmartAudio
Atheros Wireless
Are any of the drivers that I have already downloaded for the 'video controller'? Also, on my friend's laptop, he also had
the cnf7047 driver listed. Can that driver be downloaded as well?
I would really appreciate it if you would 'walk me through' the downloading of the drivers and which drivers are meant for
which of the drivers I had listed first. Since my friend's laptop can't connect to the internet, the driver for 'ethernet controller'
would have to be the first driver that I fix. If I can get back on the internet, I would be able to start fixing some of the other
drivers that are still missing. Thanks!

@bartheks,
Hi,
Download audio driver from here.
Intructions how to install it in XP.
- Extract this driver with Winrar.
- Open Device manager and expand the Sound, video and game controllers section.
- Right click on Either the High Definition Audio Device if you have the generic Microsoft drivers, or the Conexant High Definition SmartAudio 221 if you have older Conexant drivers and choose "Update Driver Software..."
- Click Browse my computer for driver software, then click "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer"
- Click "Have Disk..." then Browse to the folder where the drivers were extracted .......\XP32 for 32-bit XP. Click OK.
- Select one of the "Conexant High Definition SmartAudio 221" models in the list, there will be multiple identical entries.
- Click Next, and you're done.
I'm not sure which one from the list will work for You. On CQ60 few users confirmed then first one worked for them. It solves problem with microphone and some other issues on older drivers.
PS.
Sprawdz ten sterwonik na pewno bedziesz znacznie bardziej zadowolony z jakosci dzwieku. ![]()
