Audio/Sound Driver For Compaq Presario C700 CTO Notebook PC

Bought HP Compaq Presario C770TU middle of 2008... had no sound since. Was told by supplier  that this problem due to use of Windows XP OS instead of Vista...the machine was designed to use Vista OS. Tried to resolve this problem..... but found little help... including HP support.... but must say that I did not push for it until now. Followed your guidelines... right on the dot... it is now working fine. Thanks a lot, appreciate it very much. KUDOS

I have been reading all that I could find and followed your link to the modified file for the 221 audio and it does not contain a WiSVHe5.inf" file. It has the file but it is a read me file not the .inf

Can you help me with this?

I followed all the steps but there's still a yellow mark on the Audio Device on High Audio Bus. Everytime I try to update the driver with "WiSVHe5" I'd always get the message--"This Driver is not digitally signed in" / "Installing this device driver is not recommended....blah..blah". After I've ignored this messages and proceeded with the installation, there would still be a problem saying, "Cannot start this hardware" / "This device is not configured correctly. (Code 1)". 

So there you go, I seem be stuck in a rut with this one.

I NEED HELP.

And also, I'd be more than grateful if anyone could redirect me in finding a solution to another problem: CD/DVD not working (can't read or burn)-Optiarc AD 7530B.

IT'S WORKING!!  I've downloaded the newer version and now it's working. (yeah I know how dum-dum of me, I've should've considered that option before posting). Thanks anyway. What a relief. Hmmm...now off to address the problem about the DVD/CD...oh man..goodluck on that.

I have received excellent feedback from you. Too much thanks for it. Problem of Sound/Audio has been solved as per provided marvelous guideline and link.

But two questions are still remaining.

(1) In Device Manager/other devices/Modem Device on HD Audio Bus is seen still yellow question mark.

(2) In Device Manager/other devices/SM Bus Controller is seen steel yellow question mark.

What is next procedure? What is next link to download the driver for it? How can I solve/remove it?
