Audio and Battery message

My audio sound sounds as if it is cracked or more like a burst speaker but when i use the headphone it is fine. What can i do to fix it?

I get a message before my laptop comes on that the battery capacity has dropped. What do i do to get it fixed?

Re: Audio and Battery message

Can you tell me your computer's Product number, Operating System, and how long you've owned the computer?

Thank you in advance.

Re: Audio and Battery message

I found a fix for your battery message but i'm still researching the sound issue.

The most common problem with sound crackling is when people use USB headsets with this computer.

Don't worry we'll find something relatable lol.

Resolving the battery alert message:

To resolve a Battery Alert message, you should perform the Battery Test in the System Diagnostics (F2) environment, and calibrate the battery for best performance.

To access the HP System Diagnostics Battery Test, turn on the computer and immediately press the esc key to display the Startup Menu. Press the System Diagnostics F2 key, and then select the Battery Test option.

Let me know how the battery test goes and what results you get.

[ Edited ]

Battery test failed means the battery is over 1 year old and is on it's last few miles.

The computer *should be just fine if you leave it plugged in but when you put it on Battery power make sure it doesn't drop below 20 to 15%. I was going to suggest letting the battery power drop to complete 0% but...., no lol.

If you're wanting to go the extra couple of steps you can stick the battery in the freezer lol.

The next best thing I can suggest is purchasing a new battery by either ebay, amazon, Our own HP website, or you can call us to proceed with a order.

Apologies for your battery sir.
