Re: Both sound and the volume icon have disappeared from screen on pavillion PC

Does your laptop have sound? are you able to hear music or vídeos with sound?

If yes, then your sound icon was placed hidden in the taskbar. Look for an arrow in the left side of your taskbar that shows "show hidden icons" when touched. Click on the arrow and open "Customize".

If your sound is not available and you see vídeos without sound it may be a driver problem (deleted files by error).

Go to the driver page of your laptop and install the sound drivers.

Re: Both sound and the volume icon have disappeared from screen on pavillion PC

Hi,

As your  computer was working fine yesterday, please try performing a system restore on your unit which may resolve the issue.

Please click on the web link given below that has information about performing a system restore on your computer.

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01835735&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en

Once you open the web link above, please look out for an option " Restoring Windows to a previous point" and perform the steps mentioned there to restore your computer to a previous point in time when it was working fine.

If this does not resolve the issue, please reply back or/If the above solution resolves your issue, feel free to click on "Kudos"
