Compaq cq60-206ED sound drivers for windows xp

Dear all,

I bought the above mentioned laptop this weekend.

The store were i bought mentioned it would not much be a problem to switch back to windows xp.

Anyway i finally got the speakers working, howver iam not able to adjust the volume with the function keys.

Niether does the headphone or microphone jack work.

I think this is due to using non xp drivers.

However if i try the Vista drivers, all stops working.

Are there any xp drivers for the audio of this machine?

I think this is a laptop. When get drivers you must get the drivers from the company that made the laptop.

Because as you said you can't get "volume with the function keys" to work. The drivers made for that

laptop would fix this. There are other things drivers do; when you close the lid of laptop. of addjust the sound,

brightness, and other things the laptop can do. So get all your drivers from the company that made the laptop.

Go to Compag web and see if they have drivers for XP or Vista.
