Dual Headphone Jacks

I have a dv4 1225dx.  I am connecting the laptop to a Logitech z560 surround sound system which connects with front and rear audio lines.  Can I use the dual headphone jacks to connect both front and rear audio?  If so, which is front audio and which is rear audio?

The sound card on your notebook does not support Multi-Channel Audio output...You will need to use external Audio for it...

Kudos,

I have a Pavilion dv6-2114tx.

I have dual headphone ports on front of laptop.

The speaker system I have only has one headphone plug to connect.

Are the headphone ports single channel or do they provide stereo if only one plug is inserted?

Alternatively I need to purchase a twin headphone cable to connect speakers.
